Course Work
As a student at UNC, I have taken multiple courses that emphasized writing, video editing, multimedia production and journalism. Many of these courses required projects and portfolios. I have included some of my work samples from my classes at UNC.
Digital Stories that Matter
In this course, I was responsible for creating a final video project that advertises services offered by the East Durham Children’s Initiative, a non-profit organization in Durham, N.C. I worked in a group with three other members to create the final video project using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition. The project taught me valuable non-linear editing skills as well as how to meet deadlines and requirements for a client, as we were required to develop a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Introduction to Digital Storytelling
MEJO 121 is a gateway course into more advanced courses at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism in Media. It is required for all journalism majors. In the course, I learned how to shoot B-roll footage according to the rule of thirds and be mindful of lighting. I also learned basic web development skills, such as HTML and CSS. I have attached my final video project below, which is a mini package about Accessibility Resources & Service at UNC. I also attached HTML code from one of my web development assignments.
